At the afternoon of March 2, Graphite Industry Development Forum was held in Bayannur. Experts and entrepreneurs from CIGIU (China International Graphene Industry Union) and Matrass C-Graphene Group gave advice on Bayannur graphite industry development. Zhang Xiaobing-Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Bayannur City, was present and gave a speech. Also, Zhang Jingan-Director of CIGIU, former Party Member of Ministry of Science and Technology and Secretary-General, and Gu Yan-Chairman of Matrass C-Graphene were present.

He also said, according to the overall plan of the 4th Party Congress of Bayannur City, we need to unswervingly put stress on “Water, Green and Culture” and make great effort to strengthen the production and exportation of green agricultural and animal products, down-stream processing of black nonferrous metals and import resources, importation of clean energy, modern chemical industry and new materials production, and the construction of the 5 tourist resort bases featuring Hetao Culture. He indicated that we should expand the economic gross scale and strive to achieve the goal of “Green Rise & Surpass South of the Yangtze”. As a strategic new industry, graphite industry has deep influence on restructuring and upgrading the whole industry in Bayannur City, so it’s the general trend to accelerate the development of graphite industry. Rich graphite reserves establish a sound foundation for graphite industry development in Bayannur.

Zhang Xiaobing indicated that this forum is the beginning of rapid development of graphite industry.
